Wadaag’s legal and policy experts were engaged by SOMINVEST to contribute to the updated Investment Law to provide detailed regulations for implementing the Investment Agency Act and to fill gaps in the existing legislation.
It grants the Investment Agency (SOMINVEST) a distinct legal personality, enabling it to own property, manage assets, enter into contracts, employ staff and sue or be sued. The law also establishes core principles—transparency, efficiency, data protection and accountability—for the agency’s operations. Wadaag contributed legal analysis, facilitated stakeholder consultations and supported drafting to ensure the law aligned with international best practices and local needs.
